Certified Security

Fabasoft is certified and tested according to the relevant standards for security and reliability:

  • ISO 27001: The ISO standard 27001 is a worldwide recognized standard for the evaluation of the security of IT environments. For customers the certification means the adherence to clearly defined technical and security-based standards regarding all IT and business processes as well as all the company’s confidential information.

  • ISO 20000: The ISO standard 20000 is an internationally recognized standard, in which all requirements for professional IT service management are documented. The core concepts of the standard are quality improvement and cost reduction through increased efficiency.

  • ISO 9001: The ISO standard 9001:2008 represents a process and system-oriented approach to quality management and continual improvement. The entire Fabasoft Group is ISO 9001 certified since 2005. A particular focus is placed on customer satisfaction.

  • SAS 70 Type II: "Statement on Auditing Standards Nr. 70" (SAS 70) is an internationally recognized standard specifically designed for the testing of outsourcing business. Essentially the report certifies that a company has a functioning control system.

The compliance with these standards is checked in regular external audits.



Cloud Data Stays in Europe

The saving of data takes place in high performance data centers in Europe.

  • Business documents in team rooms lie physically in data centers in central Europe. Therefore European standards for security, reliability and data protection apply.
  • Cloud data is kept permanently synchronized in two mirrored data centers in Austria so that a fail over is possible at any time.
  • Furthermore, a backup of data is constantly maintained in a third data center. As the Cloud expands further data center locations in Europe will be integrated.
  • In future each customer will be able to decide at which data center location their data is stored.

Two Factor Authentication with your Mobile

Two factor authentication with your mobile (Mobile PIN with SMS or Mototky) protects your Cloud account.

  • Protect your account even better from unauthorized access. Activate the Cloud App Mobile PIN with SMS or Motoky to extend the authentication in Folio Cloud to an additional factor.
  • Receive a PIN via SMS with every login that you need to enter to successfully access your Folio Cloud account.
  • You also gain access to a higher security level in Folio Cloud and can use this to set access rights in special high security team rooms.
  • iPhone users have it even easier: with the free app Motoky from the Apple iTunes App Store you can confirm your Folio Cloud login with a tap of your finger and gain secure access to the Cloud straight away.

No Access to US Authorities under “US Patriot Act”

Folio Cloud is based on Open Source software and does not use any American software products. This ensures that access to European Cloud data for US authorities according to the “US Patriot Act” is not possible.

  • All Cloud providers that use US-American software in any form – be it Microsoft Office 365, Google+, Apple iCloud or Amazon EC2 – fall under the US Patriot Act.
  • Data that lies in such Clouds are also accessible to US authorities. The law even prevents the providers from disclosing their customers that their data has been passed on.
  • In Folio Cloud however, there is no single Bit of American owned software to be found.
  • Since no data saving takes place via software products from American manufacturers, only the laws of the European Union apply to us. The disclosure of customer’s data to another region is therefore ruled out.
