The Perfect Trail. Auditing.
The Auditing Cloud App is part of our leggero edition. Together with Continuous Versioning it creates a complete audit log. That's a complete list of all actions that have been undertaken with a certain document in the Cloud. On the one hand this is important in the case of nobody taking responsibility for a certain change, or for simply needing to find out who made a certain edit. The audit log also shows all people who have opened the document, even if they no longer have rights for it.
A concrete scenario: A team member grants short-time reading access to an important contract to a third party. The rights are rescinded right after the act. Until now, such a breach of security could not be recorded; it would have gone unnoticed as long as there hadn't been a change. With Auditing there's an unalterable record of all actions.
Auditing is particularly interesting when used in conjunction with the Cloud App Continuous Versioning (also included in the leggero edition). With these two included Cloud Apps the system creates a fully automatic, complete, exhaustive and unalterable timeline of any document.
