The life of a successful business Cloud can be hectic sometimes. You may be able to access your data from anywhere but when it comes to managing invitations to awards ceremonies, sometimes you just have to put in the hard miles. And this week saw the Folio Cloud appointment calendar particularly full: Three award ceremonies in three different countries and if that wasn't enough there was also the small matter of Fabasoft DONE! 2012 Summer Release and the prize-giving for Apps4Linz. So after having had a moment to catch breath, here's a brief overview of what we achieved this week...
EuroCloud Germany Award 2012
We kicked off the week in Cologne, Germany for the EuroCloud Germany Awards 2012. We had made it as one of just three finalists in the category "Best Case Study Commercial Sector" and managed to claim 2nd place and therefore confirmation among the top 2 Cloud case studies in Germany.
EuroCloud Austria Award 2012
Then it was back to Austria for the EuroCloud Austria Awards 2012 as part of the pan-European event “EuroCloud Day 2012” at the Florido Tower in Vienna. This time we went one better than in Germany and a seven-strong panel of independent Cloud experts crowned Folio Cloud the "Best Cloud Service Product".

Dr. Tobias Höllwarth, Chairman of EuroCloud is satisfied: „Proven criteria for Cloud services is an important issue for EuroCloud Austria. Fabasoft is a role model in this respect, as demonstrated by its ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 certifications and its testing according to ISAE 3402.”
With that Folio Cloud qualifies for the EuroCloud Europe Awards 2012 - the award for the Europe-wide best Cloud solutions of the year - looks like we'll be packing our bags again then!
DCS Awards 2012
The final stop on our awards tour was London, England for the DCS Awards. Again an independent jury selected Folio Cloud as one of just three finalists in the category "Public Cloud Product of the Year" from a record number of applications. The three nominated finalists were then put to a public vote to decide the winner and Folio Cloud came second in a closely fought ballot.
You can find out more about our application and accompanying case study here.
So the top prize in Austria and a top 2 finish in Germany and England - not bad for a week's work - but we'll be aiming for a clean sweep next year and to add to our already extensive list of awards this year!
