Fabasoft Guarantees Personal Identity in the Business Cloud 

New German ID Card as Admission Pass for Folio Cloud.

Folio Cloud, the European business Cloud, supports the authentication with the new German ID card and guarantees personal identity in the Cloud for the first time. A significant milestone for the secure collaboration with business partners in the internet.  

Since late 2010, Germany has been offering its citizens a digital identity card with the new German ID card , which can also be used for the secure use of internet services. 

"Security in the Cloud is our highest priority", says Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Fallmann, Member of the Fabasoft AG Board of Directors. "Therefore I'm particularly pleased that we've reached such an important milestone for more security with the integration of the new German ID card as Folio Cloud admission pass. Since the secure use of services in the internet begins with secure authentication".

Fabasoft is the first company outside of Germany to receive certificate of approval from the German Federal Office to use the security infrastructure of the German ID card.

Folio Cloud is certified and tested according to the most important standards for security and reliability: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 20000 and SAS 70 Typ II. The Cloud data stays in data centers in Europe. Folio Cloud is based on Open Source software and does not use any software product from American manufacturers. This prevents access to the Cloud data by US authorities under the "US Patriot Act".
